Lipsense Review

Hey guys! If anyone follows me on Instagram you may have noticed a couple Lipsense selfies popping up. I heard so much about this product and how great it was so I had to see what all the hype was.

Here are the company claims:

  • lasts up to 18 hours
  • kiss proof
  • smudge proof
  • waterproof

So first off, this stuff lasts! I put on this nice bright red colour and kissed my baby and nothing transferred to her!  I ate two meals and still had bright beautiful lips.

I’m seriously so amazed by this product. It definitely stands up to the companies claims.

How It Works:

First you need to choose a colour and apply it in three very thin layers. Why 3? Your body breaks down the first layer, the environment breaks down the last layer and you’re left with one perfect layer!

The colour molecularly binds to your lips and you seal it with a permeable shea gloss. The gloss hydrates your lips and you will have no need for any other lip products. Trust me, a former chap stick junkie!

When I first applied Lipsense I had quite a strong tingling sensation but later learned it’s caused by the cosmetic grade SD alcohol that helps keep bacteria out.

Your lips will also most likely go through an exfoliation phase. Your lips may crack, peel or flake. Why? Lipsense is wax free and most lip products including chap sticks and glosses are not. This process is just your lips way of getting rid of all the build up from other products.

Another really awesome thing about Lipsense is that you can have a different colour for each layer. In fact just 2 tubes of Lipsense will give you 8 different shades.

I love layering the colours and making my own.  There are also a variety of glosses you can put on top to slightly change the look. The possibilities are endless!

Lastly Lipsense is made of natural materials and contains no wax, lead, gluten, animal by products or GMOs. It is vegan and cruelty free.
